A 30 year old Marbles Field Craft with stag handles. 52-100 steel and made in Gladstone, Michigan
A 25 year old Wolverine drop point with cocobolo and antler stag handle. A2 steel and made in Rapid River, Michigan. Both have been used to field dress deer and the full length tang of the Marbles gives it far better balance. Though Riddick may find it a "half gram light on the back side". Kevin and my buddies used to call both towns Happy Rock and Swift Creek. It is too bad Marbles sold out and their plant sits empty in Gladstone. Due to trademark complaints, Wolverine changed to Rapid River Knives and they are still in Rapid River. The area is still well represented with Rapid River Knives and Bark River Knives only 15 minutes away on the Escanaba River. My Bark River is in another post here |

Yes they do make them Ed. When I visited them the year before last the were pulling some Black Jack blanks out of the HT oven.
We have been going up there long enough I have been in both the Rapid River and Marbles shops. The knives were hand made by Yoopers! |

I've been a big Barks River fan since getting a Bravo One many years ago. For a tough use knife, it is my go-to favorite.

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.
