I mostly shoot paper targets at 50 yards with my .22s so I have Vortex Golden Eagles and AMGs on them. It's nice to have the magnification to see small targets. Shot these 10 shot groups at 50 yards with my GE equipped 10/22 last week.

Get a SWFA 6X classic. The reticle is great and i shoot mine from close up out to 400 yards. It also has a whole lot of elevation.Great scope for critters on the move. For the money the glass is very good.
