Has anyone looked thrpugh and used these yet? I'm eying the FX-1000 4-16 to put on my 6.5CM AR10. Range mostly inside 600 yards but maybe push farther occasionally. How is the glass? Is it HD? Does it compare well to other HD scopes in its price range (~$800). I am partial to 1st focal plane reticles but don't know if I need it. Are the improvements to the turrets and reticle enough to warrant the 200 dollar premium?

I have briefly looked through the FX and I liked it. To me...I feel it is right on par, maybe sharper edges than that of the PST. Now its not quite what I have seen in the Sightron SIII line, but its nice.
No, it's not HD. I don't believe it will be close by comparison. I think so. Taking everything into account from Weaver Tactical, Sightron SIII, Vortex Viper PST's, Burris XTR II, the Nikon is terribly useful and I think welcome competition to those who are on a budget.

Thanks. I'm still on the hunt for one in that price range. Mr. Koshkin is going g to review a new Vortex. I'm patiently waiting.
