1937 Plymouth Business Coupe HD 1080p - YouTube

In the early 50s when I was a little kid my dad had a 1937 Plymouth Business Coupe...one seat and a back shelf. I remember that car. We went to the drive-in movies in that car and I sat on the back shelf with my legs dangling down watching the movie.

Film Noir: High Sierra (1941)

Bogart looks at Mt Whitney from the gas station. He wanted 10 gallons of gas and check the water. He paid the guy with a FIVE and got over two dollars and change back.

Watch the movie.

Don't know why, but I love the tear drop head lights on pre WWII cars.
Did that Plymouth have a straight 6 or 8?

I don't know I was three years old.

He had that car a few years because there is a picture of my mom standing in front of it holding me when I was just a baby.

Found this online Lynn:

In 1937, the Plymouth line was powered by a 201-cu.in. L-head inline-six. With a compression ratio of 6.7:1, the engine received its fuel mixture via a single Carter carburetor and was rated by the manufacturer at 82 horsepower when new.

Well I know Buick had a straight 8 in 1937. It was a flat head, but it was a straight 8.
I'd sure hate to pull that motor out Hill Billie style.

Hell, a lot of new cars don’t even come with a spare anymore, just an inflation device and a can of gunk that’ll make your tire guy hate you when he has to take the tire off.

I bought a donut spare that fits my Mustang (I hope) with a jack. I sometimes cruise back roads that aren't on gps maps. I could starve to death waiting for triple A to find me.

My son’s new Mustang didn’t come with a spare either. He better stay on the main roads!

I don't understand it. You put a place in the trunk for a spare tire, but you put a can of fix-a-flat and a cheap compressor in it instead of a spare and a jack.

Nobody knows how to change a tire anyway. The must have taken a poll of Generation Z.

They should just put a skateboard in the trunk.

Oh I could go off on a tangent on this generation thing, but I just don't want to go down that rabbit hole.
I've got two fine examples at work, and they couldn't be more opposite of each other. He is a poster child for millennials. She is a poster child for a MAGA teen.
