How does the Bushy 6500 2.5x16x42mm stack up against the SWFA 3x15x42mm.

Interested in glass quality and tracking.

Thanks

That's not really an apples to aplles comparison given that one is SFP and another FFP.

For tracking, both should be good, but SS definitely has a better reputation.  The 2.5-16x42 was the first 6.5x erector scope LOW made and there were some early issues, but I think they were resolved.

Optically, Elite 6500 will have a slight edge in terms of contrast, but not by much at all.

In terms of getting behind it, the SS is a little more forgiving.

If you own both, why not just look at them side by side and make your own conclusion?

Because he wanted to know what Koshkin thought he should keep.

How many people have purchased scopes based mostly (if not purely) on your recommendation? Does it not track that some would also sell scopes based on your recommendation?

I often say to myself and others, "Koshkin says this one is better, so your thinking otherwise makes you an idiot." I say that all the time. I even told my wife last night, "Koshkin said I am right and you are wrong", and she knew - right then and there - the argument was over. Done.

If there were a mic drop emoji, I'd use it right here.

The clarity, sharpness, contrast,  definition etc is easy to determine as you stated.

The tracking on the other hand takes a while to test.  I knew shooters here have tested both so I was looking for your input more so on this issue.  Either way thank you .  I appreciate your help

On tracking, it comes down to testing your scope or playing the statistical probabilities. In the area of reliability and tracking, SWFA has a stellar reputation. That said, individual scopes do fail, as Murphy and his law dictates.

Tracking is important, but only if you spin turrets. If you zero at 100 and only shoot 100, I doubt you'll ever notice even a gross tracking anomaly.

Please keep me out of your marital arguments.

I routinely get death threats from women whose husbands bought Tangent Theta scopes based on my recommendation.

I love my TT 3-15. But I sold a Premier Heritage to get it, so it wasn't quite as painful. And it was a Premier I got long before the USMC contract, I think I paid $900 for it. So I did okay with both purchases.

But yea.
