my 3rd time shooting this year.... did better. 66 out of 74. room for improvement for sure still, but trending in the right direction. missed 3 from 16 and doubles... and only 2 from handi(which was from 23 tonight).
on doubles, consistently missing the 2 clay on stations 4 and 5. got in some much needed practice earlier today... 50 round of doubles helped, and I thought I solved the station 4 & 5 problem. but I didn't. I replaced the action spring on my Browning Gold and I'm back to shooting it at the 16s and handi. Using the Citori for the doubles. I also have started using Win AA 980 loads for the first clay on doubles. Really like that load for the first clay!!

Nice shooting Todd. I've never done it for doubles, but the light target load makes good sense in the Citori for the first shot. That Gold should be low recoil for doubles, too. How has that Browning been on doubles?

I've used both for doubles.... the Gold is a pain cause it chucks the spent shells so far... can mess with guys on your team. I think this combo is gonna work well, get a break on recoil with Gold for the 16s and handi's and using the extra-light on the first shot with the O/U makes for easier/quicker follow-up on the 2nd shot.

I used a Birchwood Casey shell catcher on an 1100 and it catches the case on the ejection port before it hits the ground.

I use a shell catcher as well on the Gold for the 16 and handi. not sure of the brand, but its plastic and just snaps on...easy peasy!
