Had the change to shoot a Kel Tec 2000 the other day.  40 S&W, fun plinker, fold up design intrigued me.  I know a few of you have some of these similar style systems.... TNW survivial is another that I've looked at.

How do you like them?  Accurate?

The TNW in has peaked my interest, seems the better built of the options..... If its accurate enough.

I have the TNW in 10mm and 357Sig.  It is a fun little gun, but mine has gone back to them a couple of times and I still get malfunctions often enough.  It is a fun gun though and good to have.  Not something I would use for home defense.  It is a gun for tinkerers.

Did you chrono either cal ILya? I was wondering if there was a significance difference in velocity with the longer barrel?

I had looked for a Beretta Cx4 Storm, but heard some things about poor reliability.

The difference is significant.

I chrono'ed a couple of loads, but I do not remember the numbers off thetop fmy head. It was very close to the numbers TNW advertises on their website.

Ruger PC 40S&W seems like a solid choice. We should start seeing these on the market soon.

Not a semi auto but my .44 mag take down lever action is a hoot to shoot!

Interestingly, Hodgdon list load data for .357 Mag and .44 Mag in rifles. Wonder if they could be persuaded to list 9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP and 10mm too...

Kinda a take-down, I have a 40S,W AR upper, shot it so much I shot the trigger out and it became full auto. I contacted Wilson Combat, they said, "we've never seen that before, send it back, we will replace it." I sent it back, never heard a word. And I got a replacement and immediately sold it for a better trigger.

Pistol caliber carbines are fun, but I would never carry one in life-and-death. It is a rifle footprint in pistol caliber, which means lots of bark, too little bite - at least for me.
