Just picked up one of these but can't find any information on it. Anyone familiar with this model? What decade is it from? Is it regarded well?

I keep it in my car and I think it's alright. As expected it gets a bit softer with a narrower depth of field when zoomed in, but it's not a bad pair imo. I have a few pairs of binoculars but I'm not really sure what is considered good optics or not.

This pair is in really good condition. No scratches or signs of wear. Glass is clean, has original case and strap. I threw some AA batteries and it worked. I did have to open it up and align the gears to get the full zoom range, but otherwise it's like new.

It says made in Japan with a Japan inspection sticker and two different JL ## markings. It says full coated, but it doesn't have that purplish color so I assume it's fairly old. I don't notice any reflections, flares, or softness on the edges. Just curious to get some more insight on this model from someone familiar. Thanks!
