Hey
Has anyone used, know or impressions of the 6.5-20x52 scope Sig has in the BDX series.
I know from what people have said the glass is good but what are they comparing the scope to when they say "it's not bad glass"??
Thanks in advance for your opinions and help.

Claus, I have the Sig Kilo3000 BDX binoculars and after some help and tinkering I'm beginning to really like them, and is one reason I'm trying to get information on the 6.5-20x52 scope in the BDX series

I am still awaiting some good info from users of the SIG Sierra BDX line... seems too good to be true.

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

That's a SIG SAUER ad... Huskemaw Blue Diamond Long Range thinks theirs is the best ever built.  I was looking for info from actual users of the scope.

I have the 6.5-20x52 and the 3.5x10x42 with the Kilo LRF. Total connectivity to (or better termed as through) the App was problematic at times and frustrating. It could be my smartphone. I never intended to perform a comprehensive test or review. When it works, it works as intended but may not (likely will not) align with your current methodology. I don't trust (or embrace) the system enough to frequent it (in respect of time & distraction) other then for range play time. Given that range play time is now a premium, I do have better things to concentrate on like maintenance in ability.

The Sig LRF is quite nice on its own. It performs well.

You can pre-"program" your elevation "dots". Is all the added tech worth that? I came to the conclusion of no. The horizontal is often more difficult then the vertical and consider the aspect of recording relative vs absolute data when you are recording POI. Where does that place you tomorrow if you push new ballistic data? The stadia is just a line without the digital FFP. Perhaps I am just to old school (to the last paragraph).   I was taught that your corrected follow-up shot is just-as if not more important then your first and ignoring everything prior is to miss. I think having a fixed reference ultimately is better in my approach. That was my conclusion so far. I do have hunting BDC rets, please weigh my feedback against the ability in technology of this solution and also in practical utility across various applications. Nothing is perfect. I like the idea and tried it and will ultimately re-try.

Never once did I think the sight picture or the "led dot line" reticle looked cheap. The power on sequence is neat, the allure diminishes from there... It's obviously not HD, likely akin to VX3 glass but I do not have any high-mag VX3s. It's mid-tier in that regard. Honestly, I do not put that much weight on total optical clarity vs the total UI. If I had to put words to it; I think the optical picture is dark but the resolution is decent. Perhaps like looking through a ARD with a very good optic.
More importantly; The ocular & eyebox really sucks even at low mag. Oh, the parallax adjustment also sucks in purchase and excessive resistance, wear a glove. The reticle and the led dots can also exhibit their own parallax. This and the star effect from looking into constructive and destructive light, like a pen laser.
It's all the little things, dicking with a smartphone in position in sunlight for example.

When I was training/shooting open comps, etc; I rarely brought a ballistic calculator out of the bag. I preferred to do my homework and shoot from home-made altitude density cards. In this case, the purchase was more of a novelty and it hasn't taught me any new tricks worth adapting to. The SIG packaging is so nice (2x magnetic flap box) it seemed to prefer to go back in it for now.
