Howdy, I need help trying to run down an eye cup for my 10.5 x 43 epochs. This is proving difficult since they haven't been made and brunton's been out of the bino business for 4 to 6 years. I've tried them, Mave, lucid, competitor and some other online vendors that used to sell them, to no avail. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Gary

Are you asking bout the entire cup or just the rubber ring that contacts your eyebrow? If that cup is a screw in type, you do have an option. Take the undamaged one and ask a machinist/gunsmith to make an exact copy on a lathe, minus the rubber ring. Can be made from aluminum or brass (better). I did this more than 30 years ago for a pair of Zeiss. The end product may no longer be retractable, so you have to figure out the length carefully (see bellow) You can darken the metal with good quality matte paint. You will have to figure out some silicone or rubber for the actual eye ring. It's possible, but may cost you $100. People with 3D scanner/printers can also do this.
