Ok. We have had these for many years now. I was wondering how they stack up currently?
Are they still relevant? Size, weight, cost when compared to current options? I never see them mentioned anywhere anymore. Also, same question for the SS1-6xHD.

They are still relevant and still have a strong following in the long range value category. Most of the enthusiasm I see around them comes on the Black Friday sale and the July 4th sale, as they do get a decent discount.
That said, reticles date them - significantly, and with the move industry-wide to Christmas-tree reticles, this is the singular point really holding them back. But, for the money, it is a good scope. And if you like mil dots or mil quads, it is a great scope. On the 1-6, I do not know. That is the one SS scope I have never owned or used. |

Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn. Equality is something you whine about not being given. |
