Happy New Year Everyone,

I'm getting ready to purchase a CVA Accura V2 LR and would like some recommendations. I hunt in NC and low light performance is needed for these old eyes.
Should I consider a fixed power or variable scope since shots would usually be 150 yards or less? I would like to keep the price around $400 or less.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks

I put a Nikon Muzzleloader Inline Xr scope on my V2 and it is an excellent BP scope,  Even though Nikon is exiting the scope business I would recommend this scope which you may find on Ebay.  V2 on top.

I also have a

Nikon PROSTAFF P3 Muzzleloader Scope - 3-9x40mm BDC 300

I believe they quit making it but you might be able to find a used one if you search the internet.
I've had a couple of them several years back the glass was really marginal the last one I bought about3 years ago the glass was better.  the center crosshair is 100 and the circles below are 150, 200, 250 & 300 if you run a 240 gr sabbot pushed with 150 gr powder charge (3 - 50 gr pellets) run a wet patch after each shot, then a dry one.
