Hi Im Snow leopard up in N.H. & last fall I picked up a couple old stock new in box redfield widefield illuminator scopes. I more than like the old redfields as I own about 18 widefields but when I unboxed these and checked them over I noticed the windage and elevation knobs were different than anything I had seen before. The turrets are tall and there is an outer ring scale 0-12 that turns the entire turret. Inside that there is a more familiar dial that is set up in 1/8" moa increments. The outer , turns 1-3/4 turns total so you would basically get 0-21 if it had the # 's to do so. My question is what are the values of the 0-12 scale? If it is moa then that means on a 6-20 scope I only have 10.5 elev. moa usable??? That does not seem correct? Also once sighted I do not see how to return dials to 0 ?No lift & turn ....screws in small scale?Help!

Just found a bit of info on it and some pics.  IT said outer dial moves 4" per click.  Inner dial is 1/8" per click.

Supertool73 You are correct on the inner dial being 1/8 moa.I do have pics but dont know how to attach here , I tried and it was asking for url? they are just on my machine in photos? But the one you found is the same scope other than mine is matte. On the outer dial Im assuming thats 4moa per click? Kinda odd they use inches on the outer and moa on the fine adj.?~ Snowleopard

I bet it is 4 moa per click on the outer.  Since it is about 1/4 of hte way around.

I am thinking you are correct! Do you have any idea how to 0 the dial once I have sighted the rifle? Other Redfields with turrets , you can lift up and turn and return to 0 but that does not work on this. There are two small screws in the smaller dial but I really try not to break things I do not know how to fix! :)

Dials have a separate indicator ring that can be adjusted to indicate the new zero position. These are the instructions from 2-7 / 3-9 & other Redfields l have pics , how do I post them here?

YOu have to have 50 posts in order to post pics.  They do that to keep spammers from joining and they just posting a bunch of junk pics.

There is a topic here where you can quickly up your post count to reach 50.
