I have looked through the owners manual for my 1-4X24 from SWFA and had a question on using the ranging reticle.  Maybe I missed it and if I did I apologize but where does it say if the zoom has to be on a certain power to use the ranging reticle.

thanks

4X.

It is a good scope, it does drain battery whether illumination is turned on or not.   I keep my battery compartment empty, but it does have a nice spare battery cap, which is where the primary battery stays, within another in the buttstock.
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

So far I like mine.  I am ashamed to say it but I have had it for a couple years and just now got it on a rifle.  My teenagers have really slowed that kind of thing down.   My son and one daughter shoot with me quite a bit now so I need to get more stuff finished so they can practice more.

I wondered if it was 4X.  I was using some T posts in the next field over to play with it and I know they are between 100-200 m away and at 4X they were not coming all the way up to the 200m line and they are about 4' tall.
