Federal red snapper season is now opened. Your allowed two snapper per person per day over nine miles offshore. State water snapper season is all year and your allowed four. To complicate things, and to prevent people from cheating, you may not POSSESS over two snapper per person in Federal water. The reverse of that is ok though. What that means basically, is that if you catch state water snapper, you better do it after you catch your federal ones and do not reenter Federal water. If you catch two in Federal water, your only allowed to catch two in state water because possession limit is four. Had a pretty good trip. Second day I went out, Monday, I didn’t bother with Federal water snapper. Wasn’t much difference in size and saved some fuel and a long boat ride. Your allowed four in state water but you can only possess four total so that’s your daily limit. Also caught some kingfish, bonito, spanish mackerel and an undersized cobia.

That's awesome! Fantastic trip!
Incidentally as it relates to the first photo, try to tone down the provocative sensuality there Fabio. This is a family-friendly setting.

By the way, there’s land in the background. That’s because it’s easier to shoot on the water photos inside the cut. They were caught well offshore.
