Never had an optic before, always relied on my iron sights, but I decided to try an optic. I have been shooting for a long time. Settled on the Holosun 510c GR for my AR...mounted it for 1/3 co-witness...took it to the range to zero...first three shots, didn't hit a 19"X25" target at all....with my iron sights, I can have a fist spread all of the time. Is there anyone here who might have a suggestion? Thanks

If you have it mounted co-witness with your sights, lay it on a sandbag and make the optic match the same zero that your sights are set at. You can also remove your lower, place the upper on a sand back, look down your barrel and center your target with the bore. Then zero your optic to the same location. It won’t be exact but it should be close enough to get on paper.

I have it at 1/3 co-witness...for me it was a little confusing at co-witness.

Just zero the red dot as you would any sights so your POA = POI.

Then be happy.
Was sure I had a point when I started this post...
