Hi I’m new to the forum. My uncle has passed down a vintage pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Jenoptem 8x30w binoculars. These are still in lovely condition and come with the original leather case and strap.
The case has come away is there any way I can get the case mended. |

Any competent leather worker should be able to do this. But it is not beyond the possibility of doing it yourself. Need leather sewing needles, waxed thread for leather work, there are other forms of thread. I prefer waxed thread (Old School), a saddlers palm would be a good idea as well. There are plenty of youtube videos showing how to do this. You can get all this on Ebay or Amazon. If the leather is torn along the stitch lines, then that is another matter.
