Looking for some opinions and personal experiences with two LPVO 1-10x optics.  It seems to me that they are the two best for their price points (sub $450).
The SightMark Citadel 1-10x24 CR1,
The Swampfox Arrowhead 1-10X24.  Both have relatively similar specs, reticles and features.  But I haven't yet found a comparison of the two online.  Any suggestions?

Sorry, I don't have a firsthand comparison of the two to offer. However, almost a year ago I was contemplating those exact optics, and ultimately chose to go with the Arrowhead. I have zero regrets with that decision.

At the time, the largest factor in picking the Swampfox was the turret configuration, because as you noted they are fairly similar in stats. The glass is very bright, image is crisp and clear, and exhibits very little distortion or aberration. Eye relief and sight picture are excellent, and it just has a culmination of factors that make it very easy and comfortable to use. The immediate reaction is "oh, that's really nice" from everyone who's tried mine. I rarely have a need for illumination, but I've tried it. It gets very bright, and does a good job of lighting the reticle without bleeding out and flooding the tube. Tracking has been good and consistent. Really haven't moved it around a ton or taken it to its limits, but every solution I've dialed has moved exactly what it's supposed to move.

At this price point, there will be some compromises, and the turret is a mixed bag. There is a little play or mush in the turret. It's like a slight hill with a hole in the middle- you can turn the turret in either direction gradually with almost no feedback, but once it hits the next detent, there's no mistaking the click. The locking feature is smooth and pretty much awesome. After moving the optic between rifles and mounts, I needed to dial about 24 minutes to re-zero, and I noticed that while the turret markings had been perfectly aligned with the hash, it was indexing closer to a spot in between two hash marks. That might be a deal breaker for some, but I was able to loosen and correct position, and for smaller adjustments, I have not noticed that issue again. The magnification ring is STIFF. Swampfox includes a nice throw lever, but on mine it is more of a necessity than a convenience feature. It adjusts ok with it installed, but I bet they would get a lot of warranty returns if they did not include it.

For my AR inside 500 yards, I really am pleased with the overall quality. The criticism of the turret is really in comparison it to an ideal turret. It is light years ahead of the smaller, capped turrets on my other LPVO- and the style that the Citadel appears like it would have. This one is a keeper!

Between these two, Arrowhead is the better scope.
