Some of the Kahles 3-9x42 on the sample list are designated as American Hunter and some are not. Are these two seperate lines of scopes that Kahles manufactures? If so, what are the differences?
Also, I read on Kahles website that their warranty only covers the original owner. Would that exclude the sample list Kahles from being warranted?
One last question. How does the American Hunter compare to the VXIII in terms of brightness, clarity, and ruggedness?
I'm newly registered and just want to say that I've found this site to be very informative and well organized. Any help will be greatly appreciated! |

The American will be a 1" tube vs. a 30mm. The demo models on the sample list will have the warranty, I do not know about a trade in. I have not put a Kahles next to a VXIII, but I have put a Zeiss Conquest next to a VXIII. The Zeiss is clearer and brighter, but the VXIII is very good. I have also compared the Conquest to the Kahles and they were extremely close in my opinion. The best thing to do is compare the two with your own eyes outside of a store environment.

Thanks Ranburr! The Khales I'm speaking of are all listed as 1'' on the sample list, but some specifcally say American Hunter and some don't. All are 3-9x42. I'm wondering are these a different, possibly lesser quality line of Kahles. As a note, the scopes that specifcally say "AH" are also priced a little higher. Any further info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

There is only one line of 1" scopes. I just started putting the American Hunter description on the most recent ones that came in because Kahles has started to promote them in this manner. The price is higher because they cost us more. Dollar vs. Euro
