Looking to buy new scope for my CZ 204.  Need it for PD's  and other varmints. Have been looking  at Ziess Conquest , Burris signature & Xtreme tactical , Nikon Monarch, Leupold VX III.  all are 6-20  but can not decide.  my buget is $900.00 .   Any other suggestions or comments.    Thanks

For what it's worth.....I have a heavy-barrelled .243 that I use for loooong range prairie dog shooting and the larger varmints. On it I have a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 side focus that I LOVE.( I actually bought it from the sample list on this website). On another varmint rifle I have a Burris Signature 6-24x44 that is also a nice scope.BUT between the two I feel the Zeiss is a better optic.....

Look at the Shepherd varmint scope. I think they are 6-18. In my experience, their glass is very good and they have a very simple built-in range compensation reticle.

I just bought a Savage heavy-barreled .204 and am looking for a scope as well. I thought I would step back and buy something a little less expensive but I have about decided to buy the Shepherd. they run about $650 -$700.
