Putting a 50 mm scope on an AR-15 flat top.

We are often asked what mount is needed to get a large objective scope on to an AR-15 flat top style picatinny rail.

The only rings high enough to get it on that we sell are:

Super high Leupold Mark 4 30mm Rings # Leu52083...... $114.95

Super High Leupold Mark 4 1" Rings # Leu 50222...... $114.95

Badger Ordnance 30mm Rings # 306-10...... $139.95

Any other ring besides a super high will be too low.

These are pretty costly and most people don't really need or want that much of a ring. A few other options that can save you some money are as follows.

B-Square riser and Leupold PRW/QRW rings. It also allows the option of being quick release with the QRW ring.

B-Square AR15/ 16 Riser #15100...... 42.95

There are numerous rings that you could now put onto this riser making this set up a little more affordable.

Another option is a base that has integral rings made by B-Square. It would be the best bet if your on a budget.

B-Square AR 15 Flat top # 15150...... $56.95

I have a set of AR15 rings (1" diameter scope)  that are extra high and a set of 1/2 " high risers if any one is interested

The B_square riser works the best (and I have tried about everything for the IPSC 3 gun events) as mine will retain zero and slip off and on with ease. Who makes the best ring mounts  (for heavy duty industrial use) for under 10 bucks and maybe better than any costing more. Check out Weavers new 4 slots. A low set of these and the B-square (or maybe med. with a 50 mm Obj.). and this should set you up good for a gun whose barrel is screwed on with a wing nut.

You guys overlooked the best ones on the market. Take a good look at the Warne 204LM rings. These were designed to be used on the A3 Flat-top AR's. You don't have to use any of funky riser blocks or adapters. They are of proper height for eye alignment and solid. I have these on all 3 of my AR's.  www.warnescopemounts.com
