Personally, I enjoy the 5x25 Bushnell X-Tra Wides for most outdoor sporting events like baseball and football games. Fully multi-coated, bak4 prisms, pull up eye cups, and 600 foot field of view at 1000 yds. They're fairly bright with the 5mm exit pupil and being porros rather than roofs, the image stays sharp throughout the inner 75% of the image. The X-Tra Wides are compact enough that they should fit pretty handily into any hunting kit. That's the shortest length binocular that I use regularly and I don't use them for hunting, but it's not because they don't perform well--the image is very good and the colors are rich. I just prefer to use 8's or larger when hunting... |
