nice..
But Golden isn't limiting Smith & Wesson's innovation to handguns alone. The company last month made a $100 million deal to buy Thompson/Center Arms, a New Hampshire-based long gun manufacturer. It was the first aggressive step into a field of firearms that is 80 percent larger than the country's handgun market, and the company is following up by introducing a complete line of shotguns at the Shot Show. This year will also see a Smith & Wesson bolt-action hunting rifle, Golden said. |

This could be reworded somewhat to apply to Leupold:
'We refuse to compromise our pricing for quality" 10% USA Made." |

Speaking of TC and its new bolt gun. Have you guys seen this?
This is the tactical not the sporter. There are some slight variations here and there on it. George @ G.A. Precision worked with them on the tactical rifle & is building the tactical rifles for them until they can get them into productrion. George said the rest will have a full rail instead of the two piece one on the prototype. I got to finish this one for SHOT and they are really nice. It was in parts when I did it but George sent me these pics of it put together. Just added one more thing to the list of stuff I want.

They need to get rid of the slots in the bolt on the TC.
I don't know about Smith jumping in the long gun market. They've tried it before and right now the market is crowded. I can't remember a time that we've had so many options.
Curious if maybe the main goal is to add a sniper rifle to the M&P lineup. |

The slots in the back of the bolt are to direct gases away from the shooters face in the event of a blown primer

If that's the case then I'd rather have the traditional holes in the front of the bolt. Those slots look like they would catch alot of debris and moisture.
