About to purchase a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16.5 or 6.5-20 variable scope.
Since most of my shooting is off a benchrest at 100+ yds( 200+ in near future) on paper, my concern is the size of the target dot reticle.
Is it 1/8 MOA or larger?
Would i be better off with the Nikoplex reticle? (fine crosshair is ideal but not available)

Check out the following Monarchs at SWFA. If price is not a concern, item 8427 has everything you want. 6-24x50 SF w/ Fine-Crosshair. If you're trying to stay under $350 look at items 6586 and 6576. Same scopes that you are looking at with the BDC reticle. It is a combination of Nikoplex, Fine-Crosshair in the middle, and Bullet Drop Compensation on the lower vertical post. Works great when changing distances very often. I have the #8429 6-24x50 SF w/BDC mounted on a FN Patrol .308. It works great as a target or tactical scope. Good luck choosing. |
