this looks like a new offering wonder why they made this stuff, are they halting production on another powder or is this just a new addition to the family they have load data for it on data.com

Its supposed to burn  between IMR 4064 and IMR 4350, the latter being slower....  Its stick powder in super short cut form and was basicaly done to meter better.....  IMR and Hogdon go back and forth when they get board, their across the hallway from  each other..(kinda-sorta)  I guess Hogdon had a SSC first, IMR wont get left behind....   This doesnt come from IMR but Im looking to try some...  I will be talking to IMR for their load data on this 4007ssc, so more on it later

speaking of how well a powder measures.  I have the rcbs uniflow powder charger that comes with the rock chuker supreme kit, is this supposed to measure well with RL 22 because i can't seem to get a consistent throw no matter what i do.  Is this user error on my part or does this powder have to long of a grain for this type of measure?  if so what other powders work well in a uniflow measure?  I just started reloading and i load for 300 win mag, and a 270 winchester.  Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere else, i just figured i would butt in since the subject was on powders.

you may need to buy the upm precision adjustment screw, i have noticed that my uniflow isnt very consistant either, it may throw 4/10  accurately but the other 6 are all over the place

Yeah one of those chargmasters look really sweet and im sure would be ideal.  But im just starting out with this whole reloading thing so ill have to wait and see if i really get into it before i spend 300 dollars on a powder dispencer.

imr will continue to introduce ssc powders from here on ..
this data was interesting to me, 7mmwsm-24" barrel,54.5gr to start, 58grmax..mv 2681 to 2833..win brass and wlr mag primer..it burns between 4064 and 4350 but leans to the 4064 rate of burn.. 168gr sierra matchking, this is imrs data, youll have to call them for others..Imr tech-913-362-9455..I always preferred the slower 4350 in magnums..

I presume all SSC type powder will burn faster than
the long stick stuff, I dont think the longer version
will go away, but it seems sooner or later something will be replaced,
