I will stick with my custom 340 Wby. Mag., with a heavy McGowen barrel that shoots less that 1MOA at 100 yards. I know DC will love this. I have to agree with pyro6999, even though I am getting in late on the thread, I suprised you are looking at a cheap Remington.

What is so cheap about this gun. You prefer Wby and that's fine. Remington makes excellent guns that shoot with anything, if not better, than most out of the box. They make some cheap guns because their line up is extensive. This is not one of the budget models.

dolophin good to hear from you, not suprized your late and off topic though, that stack of magazines probably took a long time to go through, probably a good thing though, now you can practice using 2 hands going to the john.

You misunderstood me Tahqua, I find nothing cheap about Remingtons, that was meant for DC. In fact I love Remington rifles, own several. DC once posted that he only bought high dollar rifles and the cheapest rifle he would own was, and I forget. Sorry about that. After I posted it, I thought someone might take it the wrong way. |

I simply stated what the cheapest and most expensive guns I had, a question Trindad had proposed, and that gun was a 788--- in rifles --- in shotguns a hawk --870 knock off from china. Nows that your being nice I'll answer your Saigia question.

Of the half dozen I have only one is wood stocked, so that's what I'm looking at no matter what gun I get. I guess any of the synthetic ones that are an upgrade from the SPS should be pretty good. One of my synthetics is a Custom Shop KS in 7mag with a Brown Precision Kevlar stock. I like the Mountain Rifle and the CDL's, too. They have good walnut and some classic lines. I don't like the look of the BDL, if I was going to go with that look I would just get a Wby MarkX and be done with it. And that I will, eventually in .300 Wby. There were some Classics made in .338 and 7mag and some of them might be had for a fair price. My classic is a .375 H&H and I love it. It shoots moa with factory .270gr Cor-Lokt. |

Hey, tahqua, I sure like your 700KS 7mag with the Kahles 2.2-9 scope you posted a pic of earlier in this thread. Classy rig!
I certainly agree with you on your wood stock preferences -- I like Rem's new CDL stocks MUCH better than the BDL stock too. |
