What are your thoughts on nickel or brass cases for reloading? And what do you use?

i use both and havent had any problems the nickel seems to cycle smoother but i have heard rumor that the nickel doesnt resist denting as well, they have held up just as well as brass in my 300wsm

nickel or cadium plated cases were developed to lessen the erosion from the acids of the leather when leo would carry single rounds in their belts. became very popular with the 357's rise to the top of the handgun pile. Became somewhat popular in rifle cases- but not with reloaders because one cannot neck trim, and if the cases are not really clean, the silicates, imbedded in the case side from the dirt will make line scratches when FL sized. As can be seen every fall when some hunters fire their guns for the mandatory 3 shot site in, the green cases, from corrosive brass. In this case plated cases may be of some benefit. In handgun reloading -- I have yet to see plated take as many reloads as a regular brass. To some degree they are self lubricating especially when used in carbide resizing dies, but the mouths are always thinner. If you use a tamper crimp, it will not give as much neck tension, as brass. I have not found plated to cycle better in select fire or semi autos, and as far as bolts go-- well. probably depend on the chamber dimensions--(match vs. wobble in)
