Afternoon redneck, I have two mcmillians, two h-s. They are both great stocks. I have a a-4 on a 300 winchester I built to chase elk, or at least that is all I have done to them to date. It is a great for prone, which if I have the chance is my choice of shooting. It also sholders very well. I did bust my but in montana last year and fell on my gun. It chipped the stock on the forward fore arm. I was not happy, but I landed very hard. Guess this Texas boy isnt used to climbing loose rock. The only downfall to my knollege is the cost. That being said I love the h-s as well. But if you like the hook go for it. You will not be dissapointed.

I have "heard" that both mcmillan and hsprecision are the best two choices on the market. i have a 700 sendaro . 308. it has an hs stock on it and i like the feel of it but i do want to upgrade when money allows to a mcmillan a4 because of the different adjustments you can make. i have a blackhawk cheekrest on mine and id like to eliminate that with an adjustable cheekrest on the stock. It seems handy to have. |

when they try to take our guns, they can have mine, hot lead first.
