I just bought this for my 10/22 and sighted it in/ shot for the first time today. I think this should be a pretty good add on for a plinking and small game rifle. First impressions: it is made in China and looks like it (read fairly cheap), don't take the flip up caps off if you want to keep using them - they won't stay on, mount is cheap, adjustments are cheap, glass isn't that great. However, for plinking and small game hunting it should do. The 2x is nice and it and the dot make shooting/aiming really easy. I took the flip-up caps off and they must have been glued on or something. They were kind of tough to get off and then would not stay when I tried to put them back on. So I went and got some Butler Creek caps and they work great. Incidentally, if anyone is wondering, they use #10 Eye and #23 Obj caps. The flip ups that came with it were see through, but they greatly reduced the image clarity, so no big loss there. Shooting was great, got it sighted in really quick with about 10rds at 25yds. After that, it was really easy to hit the target, The dot is 2.5 MOA but at 25yds that is about .65". All in all, for $80 w/tax and shipping it was a good deal and I'll get plenty of use out of it.
