If so how are the optics? If anyone has access to both -how does it compare to the Leupold 3-9EFR? Is the Weaver rated for air gun use? Finger adjustable turents? What is the close focus on the parallax AO? And finally , where is the scope made? Japan? I have a Weaver V16 that is made in Japan.

I have one I have not mounted yet. Sorry I can't give any details on performance. I can answer some of your questions.
There is no mention of airguns on the packaging or documentation. The adjustments are coin type 1/4 moa clicks. The close focus marking is 10 yds. It is made in Japan. The finish is black matte. The ocular (eye) bell is NOT the large fast focus type. It is the same size as the RV7 which is a benefit on a bolt gun with a high bolt lift as it may permit lower mounting. |

Thanks Hillbilly! Your answers are appreciated. I was hoping that the scope was equipped with finger adjustable "hunter" knobs like Burris uses. Then again , the more expensive Leupold uses coin slot adjustments as well. I like the click adjustments and matte fininsh which the Leupold does NOT have. I have a V16 Weaver and like it a lot. May have to give this RF 3-9 a more serious look.
