I finally decided to go with the Simmons ProAir 4X for my Beeman R7. Hopefully it will arrive in time for the weekend! Will post my report later.

The Simmons scope arrived quickly - ordered on the 16th and arrived the 19th! I initially thought the Pro Air might just be a 22 Mag with an adjustable objective. But it is a much nicer scope. Has target style adjustments , better lens coatings and of course the AO. Not even built in the same country as the 22 Mag (China). My Pro Air was built in Korea.
Compliments the little Beeman R7 quite well. Provides a good clear image at the indoor range with marginal lighting. Shooting off a flimsy table I was able to shoot 5 shots making one very little hole at the 50 ft distance. When weather permits will try outdoors at 25 and maybe even 50 yards. Not a lot of 4X scopes out there with AO. For the price I feel I made the right chioce going with the Simmons 4X Pro Air.
Oh yeah - thanks Chris - your input was very helpful! Edited by R7 Shooter |
