They are getting pretty darn hard to find.  Everything is working its way toward matte finish.  I get it, heck I've got several, but they just look awful on my classic old rifles (walnut stock and blue finish).

Pop has asked me about a scope with some more magnification for his old Browning.  It is currently wearing an old Redfield "TV Screen" 3-9, and it is really great glass.  He just wants some more magnification for those longer shots, and a little extra light gathering wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I am thinking something along the lines of a Leupold VX-3 or similar in quality.  There are not very many listed, either at SWFA or even on Leupold's site for a 4.5-14 or there about in gloss finish.  Am I not seeing something?

It would be great if there was a way to filter out scopes in the site by finish. (<--a pipedream, but it would be a cool feature)

Are there other manufacturers still making gloss scopes in this level of quality?  Probably want to keep price under $800

Any thoughts or suggestions are sure appreciated.  Thanks!

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I like gloss scopes on some rifles.  I love the old time Weaver blue from the El Paso days.

Didn't Sightron make some glossies?
