Since I wrote that review, Hawke came out with Sidewinder Tactical 30 scopes that have a redesigned optical system and perform much better. I am finishing up a review on Tactical 30 4.5-14x42 which is quite good. Generally speaking, if you are looking for that much magnification AND good quality, prepare yourself to pay quite a bit more money. This is the cheapest 8-32x scope that I can comfortably recommend: It is a superb piece if you are looking for a bench gun (big and heavy). ILya

Thank Ilya, I just dont' know if the 10x SS is gonna keep me happy once I start to stretch the 300 out and am looking at a few "replacements" possible. I think i may just get the 20x SS being it is a dedicated long range paper puncher.
