I just bought an early Forbes 24B in 270. Looking to make this one shoot up to 500 yards on deer. I would like some suggestions to scope it. Budget is roughly 1K give or take a couple hundred. What I would really like is a scope with at least 10X max, reliable, will track and dial, has a reticle visible in the last legal light, and doesn't weigh 26 ounces.

It seems anything reliable is over 20 ounces and most set up with a long range reticle is nearly useless in low light.

Right now a used 2.5-10X42 NF NXS is in the lead. I there anything else that will do the same at less weight?
