My dad has discovered that the turret covers on his Pine Ridge scope are stuck tight. When attempting to remove them, the entire turrets (adjustment piece) screws out of the scope. Loco

Has anyone had experience remedying this type issue? Recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Though not a class A scope, it was installed some years ago and is unused, and he really doesn't want to trash it without trying to use it.

Additionally, does anyone know of a source for replacement covers for the Pine Ridge line of scopes? It appears that Cabela's may be doing away with this line, and general internet searches and browsing the Optics Talk site has not turned up any resources.

Thanks in advance!

Teri,  I'm just pullin' this off the cuff so don't get upset.... Optics intervention may be needed for your dad.  LOL!  I'd call the Cabelas CS department an see what they will do for you.  If CS says go fly a kite.  SWFA has a sample-list that has some really good deals on scopes.

this is a fair deal, and SWFA are great people who will work with you down the road if you have problems. Their customer service is second to none.

Thanks.

First line of attack is to attempt a 'conquest' over these covers!

If the seal has been broken by the unscrewing of the turrets trouble will soon follow. Do you really want to risk the shot of a lifetime with a faulty scope. This is a prime example of Murphy's Law getting ready to strike. Shocked
