Help with a Sightron 6-24x50 SIII mildot.
Can someone that owns this scope, verify that it mils at 24X.
Are there any other variable scopes that mil at the highest power. ??
Thanks

What I can tell you is that some scopes are designed to be used at a specific power for milling purposes. A true mil is 3.6 inches. There are ten spaces between the posts, vertically and horizontally. If you were to set up a 100 Meter range then the given power for milling with your scope will be the power at which a 36 inch target will measure form the top of the bottom post to the bottom of the top posts.

I just spoke with Alan at Sightron and he says all their scopes "mil" at the highest power. So in this case, 24x. He also stated that each scope should come with a mil-dot fact sheet which also shows the values of each dot at the different powers!
