Sir, your free to post your likes or dislikes of optics here as you see fit, but you did so and called well respected people here "knuckle heads".
These people are my friends, but more importantly they know a great deal more about optics than the average internet shooter dude. As far as I know, you may be a spook that works for the company in question. Lastly, if Mr. Koshkin say's someone is peddling junk and is a liar, then that's good enough for me. I won't spend one dime to further their endeavor or help them succeed. And that's all I have to say on this matter. Good shooting and I'm glad you found the scope to your liking. |

Albeit,'discretion being the better part',,,and bearing in mind; it's just the internet,,,this is what I know about IJK.
And yes, I am an an 'optics grasshopper',(that's why I'm here), that means I'll defer to those w' far more expierience in glassology.
I've had several occasions to use the 1.5-6x42 w/ illumination.
The good points : clear image & reticle, good defininition, color & contrast. It adjusted easily, definite, accurate clicks.
Some things I think could be improved:
The adjustable ucular ring does not lock. The illumination bleeds like a stuck pig, exit pupil is not generous.
I think it bears a strong resemblence to the Kalinka VPOI(pretty much a dead ringer), Hawke Eclipse, and Barska Swat. Exterally they all seem to have the same ocular box/eyepiece. They all are offered at the approxomate same price point; about $200. Probably a standard platform offered by some nameless Chine' supplier.
To me, the question would be, 'how good is a $200 Chine' 'scope?"
I have no expierience w/ the importer.

This from an IJK thread dating back to 2007 :
"Gentlemen,
I e-mailed Steve at ijksales, regarding a sample scope for review. I'll let you know if he replies. ILya" So Mr. Koshkin,,,did IJK ever respond ? Somehow I doubt it. Jes' curious...

I have purchased several of these scopes both pistol and rifle, ranging from 22 rifles to 308 and thompson contender pistol from 17 hmr through 7-30 waters and 44 mag with no problems, optics are clear, click adjustment are sharp and responsive. The side parrelex objective works great on the scopes that have them with the optics remaining clear through all the powers. My uderstanding is that the importer is bringing them in from Eastern Europe where he and his wife have family connections. No where on the scope or the boxes does it say made in China, and from my understanding of the agreements the US has with China all items imported from China must be so marked. I have in the past purchased some of the different Chineese scope to try them out and the optics are no where as clear and they were not something I would buy again. Of the 18 scopes that my brother and I have purchased from them I have had only one problem (factory defect) and that scope was promptly replaced with a better grade scope. I noticed that some of the reviews appeared to have been made by people with no personnel experience with the scopes. To me they are a good value for the money and I do recommend them to my friends, and have had several friends buy them from IJK optics after checking out the ones mounted on my guns.

Eagle Eye ? IJK scopes I have seen are most definitely made in China. Whoever told you that they are not was lying.
The importer tells a variety of stories about these scopes alternatively saying that he either brings them in from Slovakia or get the glass from Slovakia and assembles the scopes in China. He is lying in both cases. These scopes have never been on the same continent with Slovakia. ILya

This is a dead thread, but if anyone is interested, A local man (So.West Indiana) has given me three optics from IJK to test and review before he starts carrying the line in his gun show displays.
I'm former Military, I'm a long range competition rifle shooter, and I do testing in controlled environments, including up to destructive testing to the point of failure. Product design & testing is what I do for a living... I've already told the customer the optics will have to survive a paint shaker if that gives you any idea of what is about to take place... Just for the record, The optics are made in eastern Europe, not China. |

From what I have seen of the IJK line at gun shows, and from ILya history of giving non-biased info, I am pretty sure that the scopes are pure Chinese junk!

I have a simple rule of thumb I follow concerning optics just such as these that has probably saved me thousands of dollars and god only knows how many headaches.... If Ilya never heard of it, or thinks it's junk, then Tony doesn't buy it. simple as that.

Purchased a IJK 2 to 6 scope with lighted reticle and rails. had to send the first one back because of poor instructions from seller. The cross hairs on the second one are not square with the base. When mounted I would have to twist the rifle to square the sight.
I am not going to bother to call back because I know there will be no resolution on their end. I will chaulk it up to experience. Don't waste your money
