I just finished testing this scope and as I work on the write-up, it occurred to me that I should find out what the consensus on these is.
With the euro exchange rate being pretty favorable right now, I would expect that there are some good deals on Euro scopes out there including the KXi, hence there might be quite a few of these out there. Anyhow, do let me know if you have any experience with this scope. I will le thtis thread sit and collect opinions for a few days until I summarize my thoughts on this scope. Thanks ILya

Apparently, noone has used this scope before. That is is pretty interesting.
Well, I spent a lot of time with one and I think this is the finest 1" tube general purpose hunting scope in the world right now. I'll have an article out in a little bit, but if you are in the market for a nice 1" scope, give this one a shot. ILya

If you say so, it is fact. Maybe I'll pick one up just for G&G.

That does not make it fact, but I appreciate your trust in me.
I am simply surprised that noone has picked up on this scope yet. ILya

Wow.. Maybe I should have. It was between that and the Z3. I ended up with a 3-10 Z3 instead since it was quite a bit cheaper. Love my 3.5-10x50 Kahles AH though.

The Z3 is an excellent scope and it is hard to go wrong with it. The KXi has a few things going for it, the biggest of which are FOV and reticle illumination. There are very few quality 1" scopes out there with well-designed reticle illumination. Kahles stuffed all that in together with a 50mm objective into a pretty compact package.
Here is the bottom line: I liked it enough that it found a permanent home on my 280Rem, and I have seen just about every scope on the market or close to it. ILya |

That's good to hear. I had kinda figured they had just rehashed my old AH and added illumination but it sounds like they made some good upgrades. One to keep in mind in the future.

The old AH design was not too shabby to be honest with you. Even as is it would be very competitive in today's market.
KXi is an improvement though: FOV is a touch wider, eye relief is a touch longer, turret clicks are a little different, eye position flexibility is a little better. Then there is the rather excellent illumination system and, of course, different reticles. The overall size is about the same though. I like to stretch the legs of my hunting rifle when I practice, so the version I settled on has the 4D-Dot illuminated reticle. At 10x, it gives me a nice mil-scale I can use for holdover, while staying reasonabl unobtrusive when I do not need it. ILya

Pigs lately, but the rifle I have configured for hunting is very accurate so I often shoot fairly far out with it at the range. Hence, the use of the reticle for holdover. It takes me out to beyond 700 yards which is the limit of the range I go to most of the time. ILya |

I was in Texas in early March and since I changed jobs, I will not be traveling there as much for work. I doubt I'll make it over until next year.
