I'm looking to purchase one of these brands for hunting. I want to do this one last time! I'm looking at the 10x42 range. What are the pros and cons of these binoculars?
Thank you in advance, Matthew |

Only con I can think of would be the price. Both have lifetime warranties, Zeiss' is transferable and Leica's is unconditional.
I used a pair of the new Zeiss FL's extensively to harvest this beautiful Wyoming whitetail and can honestly say that this deer would have never been spotted if it was not for the superior light transmission and clarity. Could it have been done with a Leica Ultravid.......sure. Both are top notch binoculars and both are better than Swarovski which I assume you have already realized, hence your question.
The new Zeiss feel really good in your hands, focus easily and quickly and are extremely durable. They have the benefit of being the newest kid on the block using the latest-greatest technology. The new Zeiss FL is the only binocular in the world using FL glass.

I used a .300 Short Mag A-Bolt topped with a 4.5-14x44 Conquest. It's my personal best whitetail....a stand up 14 point that we rough scored about 165. A real monster for Kaycee, Wyoming. Weighed about 225.
