Hi,
I would like to get
the above scope, particularly with the new MTR
reticle. Unfortunatelly, it seems from the information on the web that the above
scope can only focus down to 50 yards. Since my hunting range is 10y to 100y, I
would loose aproximately 50% of the shots.
- Is there any
posibility to focus this scope, in any way, down to 10y?
- Can a similar
scope, Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm LR/T M1
Front Focal, focus down to a closer distance?
- Can M1 turrets
show a number of the multipiple full turns. For example, if one turns the turret
2 or 3 full circles, will he see some sort of gratings showing a reference to a
number of full turns?
best
regards,
dejan

Unless you have the scope mounted on a slingshot, you probably won't have to move the elevation more than a few MOA from zero. If any. |

It is better to have it, and not need it, than need it, and not have it.

Sorry, but my question is about focusing bellow 50y with the above
scope. Even if I drop few MOA clicks, I will not be able to see the
quarry because scope will not be able to focus

This is a bad choice of a scope.
Your wanting a fixed 10X for 10 yard shots? What will you be shooting? There would be no point to get the TMR reticle if you never plan to go out past 100 yards. The M1 knobs are definitely over kill as well. They wouldn't be worked with the distances you're shooting. You would be wasting money if you bought this scope. What you would be paying for wont be used. Look into EFR model Leupold's. They will focus down to 10 yards. You wouldn't need more than a standard duplex reticle as well.
A scope will only focus down to it's minimum focus range. The knobs have horizontal lines located below the "0". They indicate how many revolutions the knob has been turned. |

This scopes' designation "LR/T" means Long Range/Tactical.
For 10 to 100 yard shots a 1X to 4X scope would be plenty. If you could focus a 10X scope down to 10 yards, the field of view would be so tight that you would not be able to see all of the target to properly place your shot unless it was a very small target. |

I just fall for the looks of this scope. I shoot currently with x10
scope 10y to 50y. I do not use mil-dots for rangefinding, but for
bullet drop. This would be my long term scope, I'll transfer it to
stronger rifle when I get it.
Anyway, it seems that there is some sort of focusing down adapter that fits on the front lens. Does anybody knows anything about it? Thanks for the picture. cheers, dejan |
