How much better  is the glass in the vx 3 than the vx2?I am talking about the scopes with the 1 in. tube and 50 mm lens. What  low light reticle  would be the best at  low light  in thick cover some time? My  shot would max out at  250 yards.Fellars  all of you chime in on this and let me know.Yippee

I have a VXR with the Firedot 4. It's pretty nice (glass-wise) and very visible in low light conditions.

I like my VXR for low light. With the etched reticle, I don't need the illumination

Yes Sir. The Firedot, in conjunction with the #4 reticle, will suit you. I have the Duplex and Firedot and it works well.

VX-R has VX2 comparable glass.  The VX3 glass is noticeably better IMO.  But the VXr glass is good and the ill reticle is awesome in that scope.

If you get a VX6 you get the really good glass and the good illumination system.  The VX3 ill system is not that great.
