Big game (moose, deer, elk) at 400 yards tops. Also the range 100 - 400yds

Nothing wrong with the Nikon for those uses, but not the best choice for the dollars, comparison. I would go with the Conquest, personally, and consider the Minox. Not a big Leupold fan. Zeiss products usually "win", for me.

Had 2 of the Nikons and was not pleased, I also was talked into buying them, wished i would have gotten the Zies instead. Save your money and buy a Swarovski.

This is why I don't mind shopping at the designated "gun shops"...they don't have people behind the counter who are newbies limited to what you could read in the sales ads. Too bad the employers don't realize that in hiring.
