I'm new ti rifles, just bought S&W MP-15 (.223). I have champaign taste on a beer budget, the scopes I'm currently looking at are
http://www.competitor.net/leapers-utg-3-12x44mm-swat-ie-ao-mildot-ez-tap-water-proof-riflescope.html
The reason I'm looking at that scope is, it has good magnification, and it's cheap. I've heard it was made for air rifles or 22's but I've read a lot of reviews saying they've used it on.308 and ar's. I don't want to waste that money on a scope that may not handle the recoil of a non air rifle.   What do you think? Also, what you recommend on a budget of about $150?

Check out the Pentax 3-9x40 Pioneer Penta Plex Rifle Scope 89613 on ebay for $125.
I would certainly go that way instead of Leapers.

Wharkins2005, you joined today, read the rules to do so.  GO back and RE-Read them this time. Pay attention to #3.

Shenko, you've been here a while you know better than to advertise to ther places than SWFA.... come on. My misunderstanding

Its says -
3.  Do not advertise other retailers selling the same or similar products as SWFA, this includes posting links to other retailers for products sold by SWFA.  SWFA does not provide this forum as a vehicle to redirect customers to our competition.

SVT - you should check out that Pentax.

It's the old Burris-made one. Must be last batch SWFA has.
