Everything is dandy bro. Just moving some stuff to buy more stuff. You know me I can't be really happy unless I'm wheeling and dealing.

I'm just jumping off the mauser 98 build.i'm going with .308 with a 26 inch ERShaw barrel with helical fultes.I'm going to get a joe russo custom thumb hole target stock.I'm also going to have a tight chamber with very little free boar.I'm also going to true the action square the bolt face and all the jazz.So it's really nothing to squirt at.

I have an original 39A packed and retired ... it was my first firearm .... my mother bought it for me for xmas when I was a kid ... brought back memories seeing that .... God love her .  The most acurate 22 I ever owned or shot .... micro grooved barrel and iron sights .... they did'nt have the checkering .... at least mine does'nt .... the next year my dad got me a weaver for it . Wonder what a mint original is worth ? Would never sell it though .

Very nice rifle, Bigdaddy.  I don't have any money or I would buy it just because it looks so nice.  I used to have one of them back in the early eighties....a non-checkered one.  I liked it a lot....it was my everyday hang-in-the-back-window-of-the-pickup truck rifle.  That rifle got sold many years ago---but it was a lot of fun.....an iron-sighter!!

I had one of those in the 70s - great rifle - strange thing is I dont have a clue what happened to it - last time I remember seeing it was before my first divorce HMMM.
I really cant imagine that I would have traded it. One of my friends and I were shooting turtles in the spillway below Olmos Park Dam in San Antonio ( yes in the city limits) we saw a police car comming through the weeds toward us and just as I looked back my buddy dropped it over the side into the water.  I made him swim down there and get it later that day after the cops left.  No officer we had a BB gun but it fell in the water whoever called must have been mistaken.

Good times. I remember as a kid my uncle would take me to a rock corey (abandan) and we would shoot snakes.I bet there was 100's of them swimming around and we would shot down the side at them.We never knew if we hit them they were so many of them.It still gives me the greeps.A guy fell in about 15 years ago and the poor guy didn't make it out alive. The finaly blew the spring closed so it would dry up and I guess all the snake died or moved on. my skin is crawling thinking about it.
