I know all the people who will read this post will have some thoughts that hold this post will turn out. But let me tell you you are here for a surprise!
So I ordered my Meopta Directly from them in Florida and I receive them last week. I saw that there was a fingerprint on one of the Objective lenses. So I take out my cleaning kit and I cleaned the fingerprint and inspected the binocular inside for a quality check. I was disappointed to find dust on the inside of both objective lenses. I will send this back and get a new one. So I thought I should check my Swarovski el Binocular’s too. To my biggest disappointment the eyepiece in this binocular which was sitting in my closet and never used or dropped, The eyepiece was fogged up. So I tried to inspect both lenses with a light and I saw dust in n both barrels as well. This makes me think that we blindly trust brands and pay over the competition for them for no reason. What I have learned is more money does not mean higher-quality. And I also learned that you should inspect all your equipment properly within the first few days when you buy it so that you can exchange it for a new one and not go through warranty process even when you have not use the product yet. I know some fan boys will jump on this post and try to say either I did not maintain my binoculars all my closet is full of dust :-). I am posting this for the good of this group so people who are getting into high end optics just don’t buy or follow any brands blindly. In this post I am not comparing these two binocular’s but I am trying to say that even bigger brands are not perfect and the difference in cost is more than double. It is your choice because it is your money. So spend it wisely.

Yes, you voiced your concern about Swarovski on another thread earlier today. Why don’t you contact SONA (Swarovski Of North America) direct???

Sorry to burst your bubble but one sample is not going to change hte fact that swaro and meopta for that matter makes amazing optics. I personally own 5 meopta products and all of them are outstanding. I own two Swaro products and they are both outstanding. So if we are going by samples, my multiple samples of good products outweighs your bad experiences. You are right all products can have issues, that is why they have customer service depts. I once bought a pair of $2400 Leica binos and used them for several months before I noticed inside one of the lenses was chipped. It sucked, and it obviously passed their quality control, but they fixed it at no cost to me. It happens, all we can do is let them fix it and enjoy the optic afterword. You have purchased fine optics, let them fix them and enjoy them.

I agree, one post was enough about complaining, they all can have issues including Meopta.
