Interesting situation just came up with my Millett LRS-1 Scope.

I just sent it back in for a warranty repair, the focus had stopped working properly.

I have to say that based on a lot of other warranty repair experiences, this one went pretty smooth. I could check the status of the repair online, and it only took about 4 weeks.

I was also surprised to find out they did not repair my scope, they actually sent me a completely new scope.

Everything was going great until I went to mount the new scope! I realized that the new rings which came with the scope were a "High" or "Extra High", and were way to tall to mount the scope properly. Using them left a 1/2" to 3/4" gap under the front bell of the scope. Needless to say with is being mounted that high, it was impossible to get a proper cheekweld on the stock and see the scope.

I was surprised this happened  because the original rings that I had gotten with the first scope were a "Low" or "Medium" height and they worked perfectly well for mounting the scope.

I contacted Millett (Bushnell) to see what was up, and they advised that was the only set of 35mm rings that they offered.

I thought about just buying another set of rings, but given the cheapest ones I can find are around $100, I really don't want to have to spend that king of additional money to get that scope in service.

Is anyone else having the same problem who recently bought a new Millett LRS-1 Scope? If so, have you contacted Millett, and what did they say?

Thanks!
M Richardson
