I want to mount a Burris 2x7 on my Thompson Contender in 7MM TCU. It is a first year model and needs drilled and tapped. What would be a good base ring set up to do this? Can any one recommend a gunsmith to drill and tap my barrel? I would prefer to ship it out than let my local butchers work on it.

Thanks

Try SSK Industries for a TSOB mount and rings.  This rig works on my Freedom Arms .454; the scope has never moved through 1000 rounds.
