      These are pictures of a Savage that I built from parts yesterday.
 
  
      
   
        This is all the parts after I laid them out
        
     The action Savage mod 111 the machined SS recoil lug and the Shelin chrome moly barrel in 260 rem..
      
       
       The mag well after I fitted the mag and partialy bedded.
        
       The almost finished product. The stock is a Boyds feather weight thumbhole. I am waiting for the Leupold 2 piece base and will be mounting a 3.8-12x44 Intensity scope(now it is called 40/44 from weaver).If the mount doesn't get here today I will use my BurrisXTR bases with the zee rings.
 After I break it in I'll post a range report.

Sweet! I was going to get a barrel for my Savage, and do the switch myself, but didn't quite have the funds this year. Probably next year though. Looks really good. Looking forward to the range report!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Very nice looking rifle.  Excellent   What length barrel?
I love Savage Rifles!  A barrel nut is a wonderful thing.

  The barrel is 26" match grade.
