I need a heavy duty base and set of rings for my savage 10fp-le2b. I'm leaning towards the badger ordnance. I plan on using the SS10x42 scope. Can anyone tell me which set of rings (height) I'll need if I want to use the BC pop up covers as well? Does anyone have the badger on a savage setup like mine? Thanks.

Call SWFA and ask them, Sir.
Badger is the "gold standard" of rings, IMHO.

Take a look at the the Warne Tactical base, part number M666M and Warne Tactical rings, part number 614M. Its some of the strongest stuff you can have on your LE.

badger standards with a 20moa base will clear the butler caps. I dont have the -LE but the only difference is a shorter barrel and an extra swivel stud in the forend I believe. If you have the big ugly bolt handle on your savage I don't know what to tell you, I don't have one so I can't comment on the ring sizes. Warne is a little cheaper if thats the road you decide to take, standard ring heights will still work im assuming. |
