Hey guys, I'm new here and need some help.  I have a new Winchester m70 300 wsm  and can't decide on a scope fore it.  What would yall suggest as far as magnification.  I'm looking at either Nikon, bushnell, or leupold.  Thanks in advance

What is going to be the primary use of this rifle? I love my Savage .300 wsm, but at only 6.5lbs before the scope it is pretty hard on a scope.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

The Bushnell 4200's get alot of praise around here(I don't have any experience with one). And for the money Lueppies don't seem to be much of a bargain.

On the top end of you price range is the SS 3x9 which has great reviews, I have no personal experience using one yet but hear great things about it.  I do like the Bushnells and have used them. Nikon also has a few Monarchs that will work for your application as well.

I gave a 4200 3-9x40 to my son for his 300 WSM and he loves it! I have 2 others and they are both really good if 3-9 is enough magnification for your needs. I shot my bull elk with one on a 300 weatherby this last fall.
